Nilu Mahavitane
Senior Physiotherapist
Nilu graduated from the University of Toronto Physical Education (BPHE) before moving on to graduate from McMaster University with her Msc(PT). Nilu has been working with the Body Works / Physical Therapy One team since 2005. Nilu choose to pursue physiotherapy as a career when a knee injury she had required surgery. After surgery and physiotherapy, she was able to return to sports and regular activities. She continues to use her own experience with physiotherapy to help motivate her patients to return to their pre-injury activities. Nilu is also a mentor for Physiotherapist & Physiotherapist Assistant students from local and abroad schools. She works on teaching them to confidently work with patients to recover from their injuries, improve their function, and return to their regular activities. Nilu resides in Pickering with her husband and two sons, and spends her free time playing volleyball and spending time with her family.
